Sodium Benzoate

Application: Toothpaste, Shampoo, Body wash, Cosmetics and Dishwashing liquid.
It is a widely used preservative in food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products. It is the sodium salt of benzoic acid, highly effective in inhibiting the growth of bacteria, yeast, and molds, especially in acidic conditions. Sodium Benzoate is also used as an intermediate in chemical synthesis and as a corrosion inhibitor in industrial applications
